THE IRRIGATION SEASON START DATE HAS BEEN SET

The Board of Directors met in a Special Board Meeting at 7:00 a.m. this morning and decided we will start flushing the main canals the week of June 27th. It takes approximately one week to flush the debris and slowly soak the canals in preparation for water deliveries. The canals need to be brought up to operating depths slowly so as not to cause canal failure.   DURING THIS TIME, NO WATER DELIVERIES WILL BE MADE.

The first water deliveries will begin on approximately Tuesday, July 5th.   Some rotations will begin this first week.  As pressurized lines are slowly charged, more deliveries will be made. If you are on a pressure line it is important that you do not start irrigating until the line is fully charged. If you do start before it is fully charged, it delays everyone’s ability to start irrigating. The ditch riders will let people know when the lines are fully charged.

The office will begin taking water orders starting on Thursday, June 30th.  It is important to remember that not everyone will be able to start irrigating the week of July 5th.  Head gates will be unlocked as needed for you to irrigate. We are working to avoid the problems we had last year when some people kept turning their water on without permission.

As a reminder, the irrigation charges must be paid in full before any water is delivered to your property this year.
