The district has been receiving inquiries about when the irrigation season will end this year. It was the consensus of the Board of Directors at their regular board meeting held on Tuesday, July 11th to shut down the irrigation system on Friday, September 15th, unless we happen to receive an ample amount of precipitation prior to that date, that could allow for an earlier shutoff date.
The Board of Directors wants to hold as much water as possible over to next year, since we never know what the upcoming winter weather will be.
